Position Overview
The Construction Project Superintendent leads day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as the on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, resources, and team members to drive successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Oversee daily jobsite activities and coordinate subcontractors
- Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality expectations
Contract & Scope Management
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and project scope
- Ensure work aligns with contract requirements
Safety Oversight
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and procedures
- Promote a strong safety culture across all site activities
Planning, Scheduling & Communication
- Track progress, maintain jobsite logs, and report updates
- Identify and escalate issues as needed
Team Leadership
- Mentor field staff and support coordination with Project Managers
- Foster a collaborative and accountable work environment
Documentation
- Complete daily reports, safety documentation, and field records
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience, or 10+ years of progressive construction experience
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, including site work, structural systems, and finishes
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and field documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or scheduling tools is a plus
- OSHA certification and First Aid/CPR preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license required
