Position Overview
The Construction Project Engineer supports field and project leadership by coordinating materials, managing documentation, and assisting with quality and safety efforts. This role plays a key part in keeping projects organized, on schedule, and aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Administration
- Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, procurement, change orders, and closeout documentation
- Support day-to-day project operations and risk management
Contract & Scope Support
- Assist with subcontracts, purchase orders, and contract compliance
- Help ensure alignment with project specifications and agreements
Safety Support
- Promote and help enforce jobsite safety standards
Project Coordination
- Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors
- Assist with scheduling and daily workflow coordination
Project Closeout
- Support punch list completion
- Compile operations and maintenance manuals, warranties, and final documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or 4+ years of relevant construction experience
- Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts
- Experience with RFIs, submittals, and project coordination tasks
- Knowledge of site work, structural systems, and finishes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore is a plus
- Familiarity with scheduling software is preferred
- OSHA certification and First Aid/CPR are a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license required

- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform routine physical tasks
- Comfortable climbing, bending, and working in active job-site environments
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying site conditions
